Alka-Seltzer | Monday Morning Quarterback

In the fall of 2022, Alka-Seltzer needed to gear up for cold and flu season with a big push for the winter. Here's how NFL superstar and Hall-of-famer, Shannon Sharpe, became our Monday Morning Quarterback for a six-week campaign.

From 2021 to 2023, I served as Vice President of Digital Marketing at Award-Winning PR and Digital Agency, Lippe Taylor. In addition to overseeing 20 digital team members, I was also the head of our Bayer portfolio, where I led strategy, client communications, analytics, and reporting for brands like Alka-Seltzer, Astepro, Miralax, Lotrimin, Claritin, Aleve, and Afrin.


In the fall of 2022, we pitched a campaign to Bayer for Alka-Seltzer to help promote Alka-Seltzer Plus as they approached cold and flu season.


Introducing: The Monday Morning Quarterback. Whether it’s the week after week headaches during a losing streak, or the maniac in the stands with nothing but body paint coming home with a cold from a 32-degree gameday, Alka-Seltzer Plus was there to provide relief when fans poured their hearts and pushed their limits during the the NFL season.


We concepted a six-week campaign that featured our NFL Superstar and Hall of Famer, Shannon Sharpe as our host at the helm. To garner social conversation about the products, Shannon Sharpe put out a call to action each Monday after NFL football asking fans to share their emotional and physical struggles after the games for a chance to win a prize every week. Prizes ranged from playoff tickets, tailgate packages and Giftcards.
